redhat 8 printer config trouble
I recently installed Redhat 8 on my 700 mghz AMD machine. this is a dual boot system with Red hat on a western digital 20 gig harddrive and winxp on a quantum fireball 30 gig drive. My printer a HP 932 was configured according to two books I have LINUX for dummies and Sams teach yourself Linux. But all it will print is a stepped down line on one sheet of paper and then it keeps running blank paper through untill I manually stop it. the line it prints is as follows
%!PS-Adobe-3.0 %%BoundingBox: 0 0 612 792 %%Creator:Open Well you get the Idea it is stepped down each phrase Please help me. Newbie in trouble |
Did you use RedHat's Printer Configuration GUI tool ?
In the menu, under System Settings, click on Printing. Or, at the command line, type: redhat-config-printer Also, take a look at your print queue. There may be some print jobs that are still active. Type: Code:
lpq -a Code:
