redhat 7.2 df usage is weird

ok
[root@localhost local]# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda2 690M 642M 13M 98% /
/dev/hda1 29M 2.7M 24M 10% /boot
none 30M 0 30M 0% /dev/shm

is this weird or what ?? or does redhat do this??
It was showing 0% until i deleted unnecessary rpms. Samba wouldnt print because of it...Has any one experienced this problem before? I swear there was at least like 100meg before yesterday

directories that can grow are
/tmp /var
for instance, if u opens movies using some browser plugins, it saves the movie file under /tmp..
/var file grows cause it keeps the all sorts of logs..
