RedHat 7.1 XWindow Runs Unstable on my Thinkpad 600X
I installed RedHat 7.1 (Seawolf) on my thinkpad 600x and it works fine all the time except under Xwindow mode.
Here is the symptoms:
1. Start up normally and can operate for a while
2. Xwindow hangs, event I press CTRL+ALT+1, CTRL+ALT+ESCAPE or CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE
3. Hangs frequently when I switches between different windows using ALT+TABLE or normal mouse click
4. Only Xwindow hang
5. I can telnet from other machine and kill the Xwindow.
Although I patched all the RedHat 7.1 Network available, the problem cannot be solved. It made me being very frustrated so I try to post my question here and see whether any of you encountered similar case before and kindly give me some hints.
Here is my configuration
Thinkpad 600X 2645-4EH
256MB RAM
10GB HDD
