Red Hat Linux 9 Kernel Development Picture

I have a crazy question; while installing Red Hat Linux 9 I ran across a picture of a man in the kernel development section; who is he. I need this information for a college course I'm taking.Any help would be great.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
