recompilation


when the linux source code is recompiled (even without making any xconfig options), i get the image . when i reboot with the
new image , my interface is always down(eth0).
how should i resolve
I need to recompile after providing advanced router option
enabled. how should i achieve. send as soon as possible

network start isnt done from the kernel but from init doing network start from starup scripts like /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit, rcS or whatever its called. if ure kernel configuration options dont collide, look there.
