what is the 1st file it execute. where can i find howto about poweroff/reboot command? i want to know this coz i have some problem with shutting down my redhat 9 everytime i run reboot/poweroff command i'll a very 1st line of text saying something about fatal: unable to install sound slot bla bla bla bla...... so i think theres some problem with shutting down script. |
look in /etc/rc.d/rc6.d
use ls -l and those are links to what runs at reboot. the ones starting with "K" are kill commands. the "S"'s ar start commands. |
I think all scripts in rc.0 and rc.6 are run as K, as in with the stop param whether their links have an S or K ;)
