RealTech 8139 NIC is not detected by EL5


Hi All,

My RealTech 8139 NIC is not detected by EL5, so I couldn't use the Internet. Could anyone give me an exact solution?.

RealTech 8139 NIC's can be unpredictable as to whether or not you will have problems getting them to work.

In a terminal, try 'modprobe 8139too' and 'modprobe 8139cp' to see if either of those two drivers work in RHEL.

I ran above two commands and didn't get any error but still my NIC is not detected. Pls help.
