In Mandrake (9.1 and 10.0 at least) you can satisfy the rpm dependancies when the rpm you are installing requires something off the install discs by typing
urpmi something-i586-mdk.rpm
at the command line, even when the RPM you have downloaded wasn't included with Mandrake in the first place.
This might be useful to some newbies.....
(whats the correct way for suggestions like these as both mods who posted are refusing e-mails (understandbly) and there is no "Alert" function found on many forums and the Forum FAQs don't seam to have any LQ specific FAQs....
