rdesktop options

I was looking at the option and noticed and r: enable specified device

Can someone explain what this is going to do for me and exactly how to use it. The man pages are kind of vague

My other question is: is there a way I can have my hard drive directory tree show up in the windows xp computer I am connecting to.

I am using rdesktop 1.3.1. i was using remote desktop that came with suse, but you can specify a port (or I couldn't get it to work) so I downloaded rdesktop and it is working great, I just would like to be able to share files between the two computers and if possible to listen to sound from that computer.

Any help?

NO you can't share your drives over The connection.

what you want to do is set up samba so that your windows PC can access the linux box.

There are a number of howtos that you may want to look up on the web, I'd check into articels regarding shareing files between linux and windows.

Well, the way it is setup now, I have my computer at work set up for remote connection so I can work from home. In a pinch I can email the files to myself, but this isn ot ideal. So is there no other way to get around this problem?

an ftp or webdav server would work.
