Hi,
I have MDK 10 running KDE, and every so often my computer will randomly play music from the start of a couple of .avi files I have lying around. Doesn't open mplayer or anything, the music just starts playing. I can't figure out how to stop it, so I just hit 'mute.' Has anybody ever seen this before? It's very strange.
Thanks!
Oh, and I forgot to add, I'm just running Konqueror and Gaim, maybe KWrite and a couple of console windows. I'm not sure if this is useful information, but the machine only plays stuff that I played through Totem Media Player, not GMplayer. I don't like Totem anyway as it has given me a few problems in the past which I am unable to reconcile.
Hello,
So, I still have this problem and I have just been using my machine on 'mute' to stop it. When sounds start randomly playing, a simple
killall artsd
will stop it, so the problem is that 'artsd' just starts randomly. Does anybody have any idea what might be starting this?
Thanks!
