randomizing execution of some cron entries

the subject looks probably weird. well i'd like to do following:
the time of the exec should be random (1-15 mins). while i think 15 mins is a nice interval for logcheck it affects system security if an attacker knows that EXACTLY every 15 mins a logcheck is performed. that is why i want to exec logcheck every 15 mins at the latest!

the only way i can think of solving this is to create a wrapper script which is executed every minute.

anybody has some ideas ? :-)

I don't remeber very well how cron is working since I'm using fcron. It is a scheduler like cron+anacron together. Nice manual. Simple conf file syntax. And it has the feature you are looking for: randomizing the start time.

Well there is even a debian package available for that. I will take a look at it. Thanks for mentioning it :-)
