RAID stripe & partition question?

I have 3 hard drives (IDE), each different sizes (80, 120, and 160 GB). I would like to create a single striped parition accross all 3 drives, but the striped partition only needs to be about 10 GB.

Can I use 10GB off each drive (though the drives themselves are different sizes and models), then use the remaining space amoung the 3 drives to create other various ext3 partitions with other various mount points? Or if I do this, do I forefit all the rest of the space on the drives?

You can do it, no problem.
You will only need a third of the total for each drive there is no loss of space with RAID 0.

create the partitions you need for each drive at 3.33 GB each. The remaining part of each drive can be partitioned as needed.
