Thanks for all the previous posts about the Radeons in linux, they were of great help when setting this system up. I do have one problem however. The drivers installed fine (Mandrake 9.1, p4p800 mobo), but when I try to run any opengl games (q3, tuxracer and even glxgears) half the screen is either black or garbled. The fgl_glxgears runs fine.

Additionally, my hyperthreaded processor does not get detected as two processors by my mdk enterprise kernel (2.4.19). I have played with all the relevant bios options to no avail. It worked once, but on the next boot it was gone again! Nevertheless, the computer runs incredibly fast using only one of the two virtual processors.

oh, i'm running xfree 4.3.0... from reading a few recent posts it seems that this is a problems with regards to FPS, but my FPS are quite high (>100)

should i try to rollback to xf4.2.0?
