Quick Question

I just rebooted my Linux server and when it came back up it just says "Out of scan range". How can I get to a command line during the boot so I can run Xconfigurator?

Have a look in your XF86Config file and look at your resolutions you've got set. You may have given it the wrong monitor type when you configured it or its trying to use resolutions that the monitor doesn't agree with..I got this and had to add the res's manually..

Yes I know, the point is I can't login to the system because the login screen doesn't have the chance to display (res too high). Is there a way I can interrupt the boot sequence to get the command prompt so I can run Xconfigurator and fix the res issue?

I figured it out. Start in text mode. Type "linux single" at boot prompt. Then "setup" at the bash. Xconfigurator is one of the options.
