Quick module/symlinks question

Okay, so I just did a fresh install of Mandrake 9.2 and since X doesn't work with my Radeon 9600 with the radeon driver, I decided to install the drivers from ATI. I first installed the kernel source RPM just to be sure and then I rebooted without X on - just command line as root. I used rpm -ivh fglrx(whatever).rpm and that gave me an error. I then used the --force flag and it gave me this error:

Tailored kernel module for fglrx not present in your system.
You must go to /lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod subdir
and execute './make.sh' to build a fully customed kernel module.
Afterwards go to /lib/modules/fglrx and run './make_install.sh'
in order to install the module into your kernel's module repository.
(see readme.txt for more details.)

As of now you can still run your XServer in 2D, but hardware acclerated
OpenGL will not work and 2D graphics will lack performance.

failed.
*** Error: no kernel module build environment - please consult readme.
Installed: qt3 (gcc 3.2) based control panel application
===
ATI display drivers successfully installed
please run 'fglrxconfig' now
===

So I did what it said for building the fglrx module, but after doing the ./make.sh to build it, it tells me this:

initializing...
Error:
Kernel includes at /usr/src/linux/include do not match
current kernel.
they are versioned as ""
instead of "2.4.22-10mdk".
you might need to adjust your symlinks:
-/usr/include
-/usr/src/linux

How can I adjust them so that I can rebuild the module to install the ATI driver? Thanks in advance.

It looks like you've chosen the wrong driver rpm to install. You have to get one that EXACTLY matches your kernel. Type uname -r to find out your kernel version anf then get the ATI driver for it. If you've compiled your own kernel then forget the rpms. They wont help you.
