ok. so i was installing ubuntu 10.10 and was shown this:

Does this mean i am inputing the size of the initial parrtion or the max size that it can expand to?
The initial. You can always add more drives/space later.
Thank you! i have searched high and low and couldnt find an answer for this. I kind of thought that, but i was confused because of how it was worded in that prompt. so i just put 'max' into that field. Most likely I was simply overthinking the situation, but regardless, thank you for the answer. I will use this knowledge for future installs.
