Q: Howto hide logical NTFS partitions with LILO ?

I want to hide a logical NTFS partition with LILO.

For hiding primary NTFS partitions in LILO I use :
change-rules
reset
# Begin Rules for hiding NTFS partitions
type = NTFS
normal = 0x07
hidden = 0x17
# End Rules for hiding NTFS partitions
other = /dev/sda3
label = Windows7
change
partition = /dev/sda3
set = NTFS_normal
partition = /dev/sdb3
set = NTFS_hidden
table = /dev/sda

sda3 and sdb3 are primary partitions
Changing /dev/sdb3 to /dev/sdb8 and running LILO give me the following error
"/dev/sdb8" isn't a primary partition at or above line 33 in file '/etc/lilo.conf'

How can I hide a logical NTFS partition with LILO?

Thnx in advance

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately, after reading the links you provided, I still haven't found the answer for my problem. It looks, after many searches and reading on the web, that LiLo can't hide or unhide logical partitions.
Only primary partitions can be hidden/unhidden with LiLo.
For now I use XOSL ( http://www.ranish.com/part/ ) to fulfill my wishes.

Thanks again for the provided links. It was fun and educational reading them.

Most welcome!

Actually I am not a filesystem expert! Lets hope some senior member throws some light on the subject !
