Q about access
this is an additional thought along with my apache/sendmail server i am wanting to build.
once i have it up and running, if someone hacks it and it is in the same physical location as my win2k domain (win2k server as a DC, winXP workstation, win2k workstation) without samba installed would someone be able to get access to my M$ network via the linux box?
my #1 concern here is that i run a small business and have my accounting program on my DC, this is the reason i refuse to set up IIS and run IIS via my DC.
i know someone could hack apache and get controll of that server, but would they then be able to get direct access to my M$ domain without installing samba, and if so how would they do it, and what steps can i take to block this from happening?
also is there a way to prevent samba from being installed?
or am i just being to concerned about the security issue here?
