python problems with fluxspace

Hi, tyring to install fluxspace which has some cool stuff for fluxbox (workspace specific-wallpapers and such)
Here is the website for reference http://fluxspace.sourceforge.net/
When I run fluxspace after installing:
Code:
robert@MOFETTE:~$ fluxspace
'import site' failed; use -v for traceback
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/local/bin/fluxspace", line 15, in ?
    import fluxspace
ImportError: No module named fluxspace
robert@MOFETTE:~$
now, i read the documentation at http://sourceforge.net/docman/displa...group_id=76737
whic has the same error in troubleshooting, but I don't know if it is ebcause I'm bad at reading documentation, or what
Anyway, while trying to follow directions, i made a file called sitecustomize.py in
usr/lib/python2.x/site-packages/ and in /usr/local/lib/python2.2/site-packages
which is (copied)
Code:
import sys
version = '%d.%d' % (sys.version_info[0], sys.version_info[1])
addPath = '/usr/local/lib/python%s/site-packages' % version
    sys.path.insert(0, addPath)
but it didnt seem to help

Thanks!

Hi Tyir,

Interesting question.

Can you post a couple of other bits of information please :
1. The location of the file fluxspace.py (hopefully in /usr/local/python2.2/site-packages but you don't say)
2. At the end of "sitecustomize.py" can you run the command
Code:
print sys.path
and post the output.

Something else you could try is to start up the python interpreter and test it from there.
Code:
python
>>> import sys
>>> version = '%d.%d' % (sys.version_info[0], sys.version_info[1])
>>> addPath = '/usr/local/lib/python%s/site-packages' % version
>>> sys.path.insert(0, addPath)
>>> print sys.path
['/usr/local/lib/python2.2/site-packages', '', '/opt/freeware/lib/python2.2',
/opt/freeware/lib/python2.2/plat-aix4', '/opt/freeware/lib/python2.2/lib-dynload',
'/opt/freeware/lib/python2.2/site-packages']
>>> import fluxspace
