PV/VG specs differ !
Hi Guys :
Not sure for the strange reason why thats happening..
I am using RHEL 6
I created 3 PVs /dev/sda{7,8,9}, each sizing 500M, 600M, 700M 'respectively'
and then after creating them i displayed them using pvs and vgs commands, and saw something strange.
The sizing i provided above was not the same i saw in display.
Here's the output :
[root@localhost Desktop]# fdisk -l
Disk /dev/sda: 16.1 GB, 16106127360 bytes

[root@localhost Desktop]# vgs

Notice that the Size of 3 PVs /dev/sda{7,8,9}, should have been 500M, 600M, 700M respectively, which is not.
And the total space in VG should show around 1800M, instead of what it shows as 2.04GB. :-/
Pls advice.
