PS3 running Fedora 5- CD audio problems
Hello there, first time poster. Anyway, being an invenerate geek and hopelessly attracted to massive shiny objects I picked up a PlayStation 3 and got Fedora Core 5 installed and running on it (dear God, does it look ugly on SDTV!). Great, besides the fact that if I try to play a CD, or rip a track in OGG and play it back, it sounds like my sound system is being attacked by giant robot lords. I mean, OK Computer is pretty out there, but I don't remember it sounding that bad. System sounds play fine.
System in a 60GB PS3, running PPC Fedora 5 (Bordeaux), all output via RGB SCART (audio essentially comes out a la composite video).
Help would be appreciated; I assume it's just a hardware-configuration issue. Otherwise I'm having a right larf BitTorrenting completely legal and copyleft audio by the gigabyte onto my USB stick for playing back in the XMB.
