Program wont start on boot


Hey guys i want my ktorrent to start automatically upon boot. what i did to do this is i create a symbolic link in the init.d pointing to /usr/bin/ktorrent, then i updated the run levels using update-rc.d everything work fine but when i restart my pc but its not loading... is there something wrong on what i did?

hello
u must to add link for your Program in
.bash_profile in
user Directory like if u won't to add mount point to start
when linux start but u must to have note
this Program don't Start until the user login

ktorrent requires an X display to connect to, so it's problematic to run it at startup, as the X display is not connectable to until a user is logged in. If you want instead to start it when you log in, you can use the KDE session system to start it, or create a symlink in your ~/.kde/Autostart folder, like this (run in terminal):

ln -s $(which ktorrent) "$HOME/.kde/Autostart/ktorrent"
