Program "su" Not Found

O.k. I've been having a time. I set up Mandrake 10.0 and all goes well, but I work with it for a while (Setting up a Web Server) I get all the components working right, apache, mysql, PHP then I set up Cpanel/WHM. First time through I froze and logged out to get a "Dos" Screen with the login and startX did not work. Second time similar, but the third time all is well except for the fact that I cannot go to System/Configuration/Configure your Computer because it asks for my root password (As always), but when I put it in I get.

The program 'su' not found!
Make sure your PATH is set correctly.

Any ideas? I can see as Cpanel would make my su go away, but it is a possibility. All this to set up my web page here to stop wasting money on outside web hosts... Ce La Vie!

First check that /bin is in your $PATH.

Next check if /bin/su is really gone. If it is just do this:
rpm -qf /bin/su
This will tell you which package you need to reinstall. You will probably need to use the --force switch to get the package to install because it will say it's already installed if you don't.

If su is not missing then make sure it works.

If su is ok and your path is ok then you probably need to look at reinstalling Mandrake Control Center. The program is mcc and it probably is in /opt/kde3/bin.

This is all good and I thank you for your responce, but now I have a new issue. Back to not having my x system. Can only log in in "dos". I'll take a look at that in a moment here is there a simple way to see why that is happening? I get an error and a log file to look at, but I need to figure out how to mount an ntfs drive to move it to my windows XP drives to post it here. Thanks again though.
