proftpd and dot files

I've built and hardened an older server to act as our FTP box and everything is working perfectly, except I cannot work out how to do one thing.

I've turned off the default of showing dot files without requesting them, so people using some FTP clients don't see them. However is you specifically request to see them (with a -l command) then proftpd honours this and shows them.

How can I make proftpd ignore this command and never show dot files?

Thanks,

Brendan.

Correction.

Sorry I mean -a not -l. Minor thing...
