problems with user

Hi i have created a user with oracle name....
In his home directory i have created the bash_profile file with the following contents

# .bash_profile

# Get the aliases and functions
if [ -f ~/.bashrc ]; then
. ~/.bashrc
fi

# User specific environment and startup programs

export ORACLE_BASE=/oracle10
export ORACLE_HOME=$ORACLE_BASE/product/10.1.0/db_1
export ORACLE_SID=cs
export ORACLE_TERM=xterm
export PATH=$ORACLE_BASE/bin:$PATH
export PATH=/usr/bin:$PATH
export PATH=$PATH:$HOME/bin
export PATH=$PATH:/oracle10/product/10.1.0/db_1/bin/

#export PATH
unset USERNAME
unset TNS_ADMIN
#unset ORACLE_HOME
ulimit -u 16384 -n 65536
export NLS_LANG='AMERICAN_AMERICA.EL8ISO8859P7'

The problem is that when i log in as oracle user none of the above commands are set up

Thx for your reply... I know that but it's really annoying that i must execute the file each time.... Isn't it?

No,

I mean the file name may need to be .profile not .bash_profile

I would think that one or the other should work. Depends on your system. If not try .login
