Problems with KDE 3.0.1

I've just upgraded from KDE 2.2.2 to 3.0.1 and I'm having a number of problems.

I'm running Mandrake 8.2. I installed KDE 3.0.1 with Mandrake RPMs and don't have any conflicts are dependency issues.

Currently, KDE 3.0.1 causes the following problems:

KPager stops working.
KPanel always loads up in large size.
Drag and drop works inconsistantly.

Most importantly, when I last logged back into KDE 3.0.1 it reverted to 2.2.2!

I'm clueless at this point. Thanks for the help.

Mandrake site has some info on this. I can't remember the URL but check the mandrake site it will tell you how to fix it.

If the URL you're thinking of is: http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/mdk-kde3.0.php3 then I already tried the fixes and nothing helped. Is there another page you were thinking of or can anyone think of another idea?
