My linux box was working fine and i updated stuff and used it but i decided to reboot and it keeps restarting Bios date check succesful after starting linux, than it would reboot everytime this comes up after lilo 22.5.7.2. THis is strange because i downloaded a newer version of wine and it installed just fine and i was enjoying this box know i can't even get into linux. Is this shades of windows or what?

I've had similar problems, and the only way I could get it to boot
was to , Do my upgrade again, insert the cd, and go thru the install
process, but select upgrade...and once I went thru the process
all worked okay.

This might have nothing to do with Windoze. I had the same problem, friend had the same problem.

My RAM was loose, friend had to buy new.

Check if your ram is working fine.

Well I got it into Linux by reinstalling but this is to much of a pain. I go into add software and add software, the RPM manager hangs. I add software and it tells me there was a problem with adding the rpm's or software and when it hangs i control alt backspace to reset the damn thing and when i go into my kde menu there is stuff missing. This is getting very annoying and i think im just going to stick with Windows. I thought Linux was stable and didn't hang well im not sure that is true with the experience im having with it
