HI,

I am a new user to Linux. I just recently got a copy of Mandrake Linux 8.1 . I've been trying to install it but each time the installation is halted at the second stage with the error massage:
<0>Kernel panic: Aiee, Killing interrupt Handler
In interrupt handler - not syncing

I must mention that I am running windows 98. I just recently reformatted my disk and reinstalled 98, however I was having register problems so I had to make the windows directory "Win98" as oppose to the regular "windows".

I don't know if this is part of the problem.

Somebody please Help!!!!!!!
