Problems in locale - Using the fallback 'C' locale.

When I launch a program, I get this error:

Code:
(process:19541): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
	Using the fallback 'C' locale.
Here is the /etc/default/locale
LANG=en_US.UTF-8

and /var/lib/locales/supported.d/local
en_US.UTF-8 UTF-8

1 - Why I still get the error?

2 - If I want to change to en_GB, what should I put?

Hi,

there are several manpages for locale. Here a part of the output of "apropos locale":
Code:
markus@samsung:~$ apropos locale
...
locale [] (3) - Perl pragma to use and avoid POSIX locales for built-in operations
locale [] (3p) - Perl pragma to use and avoid POSIX locales for built-in operations
locale [] (5) - Describes a locale definition file
locale [] (7) - Description of multilanguage support
...
where the number in parentheses shows the section where the manpage is located. You can read the relevant manpages with
Code:
man 5 locale
and
Code:
man 7 locale
please check also the "see also" section in both manpages.

Markus
