I'm trying to install ns-allinone-2.34 in Ubuntu 10.04 using vmware workstation and while installing i got-

This warning can be safely ignored, do not report as a bug!
Installing libtcl8.4.a to /home/vmplanet/ns-allinone-2.34/lib/

rm: cannot remove `/home/vmplanet/ns-allinone-2.34/lib/libtcl8.4.a': Permission denied

Looks like you have done one or more commands as root.
( sudo <some-command> ).
Better delete everything, and start from scratch in
a new directory. Ns-allinone-2.34 is usually easy to
compile on Ubuntu : LQ Search → 'Tag Name' = ns2
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...archid=3909047
Example http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...tion-6-789411/
.. etc. etc.

But then again, using "Ubuntu 10.04 alpha 4" (or worse) is asking
for trouble. Let's have a look at that in about 30 days, when the
real Ubuntu 10.04, the release version is present.

Urgent ? : Please read the "How to ask a question"
http://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/...Ask_a_Question
( Urgent is a forbidden word.)
