Priority for Executables
 
Hello!

I have a program that needs to have high priority. How do I change its priority when it loads up?

nice can only lower priority, not raise it (unless you're root). That's why it's called nice, because it's nice to other processes, not to its owner!

Edit: sorry, just RTFMed! Seems Linux nice does support raising priorities, apologies for the misinformation.
