Printing to Windows & access to Windows Network

Hi,

I am trying to print to a Samsung ML-1200 on a Windows 2000 Server from a computer running Fedora Core 2. I have tried using both samba and CUPS, but cannot get the printer configured. I also cannot connect to any shares on the Windows 2000 server. Can anyone help me out.

Thank You.

Like everything in Linux you have to mount it before you can use it.

In FC2 with KDE I use lisa, in shell as root type lisa. Then open Konqueror and Open services - Lan browser. You can also use smb4k to mount shares. There is also the Lin neighborhood like gnome uses in FC2.

The printing prob I don't know. Windows will have to be configured to allow others to access printers hooked to the machine. Then you'll have to point CUPS to the path the printer is at.
