Printing Questions (CUPS & Minolta PagePro 1300W)

Hi All,

I'm running Ubuntu 6.16, with Cups 1.2.2 and have my Minolta PagePro 1300W working perfectly. It even works from 32-bit XP hosts (using the Minolta driver of course).

However, the question I have is probably a little different

. Minolta have not released a 64-bit driver, and are not going to (for Windows). Does anyone know any way to pass the data to CUPs in a 64-bit XP friendly way and have CUPs deal with the driver? E.g. Postscript from XP to CUPs which would then convert it to be printed ...

Any ideas?

My first thought is that you could use any postscript type printer driver in windows and assign it to your minolta printer (via smaba share). If that fails you can configure a cups printer via the url below still using any postscript windows printer driver. The print command script could create a pdf file and then print to your minolta via a lpr command.
