Hi all, please bear with a newbie on linux on the above. I have recently install Fedora Core 6 on my office IBm T43 notebook running on dual boot.

I have managed to configure most of my stuffs but i was unable to get the printing work in office. The printer i am trying to work on is the Minolta 2300DL which is a standalone network printer. I have used the CUPS GUI and configure the 2300DL printer using Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) and choose the Minolta 2300DL printer driver. The moment i click test print i will end up with " Printer busy; will retry in 10 seconds..." and the print job will hanged in "processing since..."

I confirm that the physical printer and IP address is correct as i test it though the WindowsXP. Have i configure anything wrongly such as the ipp?

I don't have a network printer handy so, can't try this myself...
Would it work better to use LPD/LPR instead of IPP ?

Change the ip address and queue name to match your printer.

Device: LPD/LPR Host or printer
Device URI: lpd://192.168.0.100/queue
