I have followed this printing guide for my HP 712 c. I know it uses a proprietary driver, explain later.

I did all that, then got the ppd file and used foomatic-configure to set up a printer. Now when I go to the localhost:631 in my broswer the printer is there. When I go to print a test page however, it puts it in queue, then it says it is aborted when I go to the jobs list. When I go to restart the job, I get client-error-not-possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
