prinetr in openoffice.org

Hi.

I have suse 8.0, kde3, openoffice.org 641C. The problem is that my printer - hp deskjet 970C (lp, high, color, photo) works in all applications, except in openoffice.org. This has its own - openoffice.org Printer, printer configurator. But I don't what to do there. It looks like I have a Generic Printer (lpr).
And I really don't know why do I have to configure my printer for OOo seperately.

hEEEEEEEEEElp!

Bye,
Matjaz

First you might want to consider installing OpenOffice 1.0 and secondly, use the OO printer config, it works and it only sets up the printer for open office, it wont break printing in kde.

Open Office has it's own configuration file so it can use any printer specific functionality available which may not be set up in the system printer. The generic printer driver may only use functionality known to work in most printers.

Also, note that Open Office 1 has been released, and works great on my box.

You may wish to give it a try.

thanks

Thank you! It works now. I've got the solution myself. The problem was neither at OOo nor at printer. Forget it...
