Postfix doesn't start on boot
Hi,
running chkconfig, I can see that Postfix is set to run on levels 2,3,4,5 (the same as iptables), yet it does not start on boot (while e.g. iptables does). I've noticed this a while back and haven't managed to figure it out, so I would really appreciate the answer. Thank you. ------------------------------------------------ I forgot to say: when starting the service manually it works fine |
Mentioning your distro would be a good start. Check some of the files in /var/log and see if you can find any postfix errors.

Sorry its centOS. I have had a look at messages in /var/log and your right, I've found something at the time of start-up:
Jun 21 06:52:29 host postfix: postalias hash:/etc/aliases failed How do I fix this? Thanks. |
