posix acl

why posix acl are not enabled in linux kernel (rh, fedora), it gives admins a greater management, and are supported in solaris,

for only this i have to compile whole kernel.

Asked the developers this question and see what they say instead of whining about having to recompile your kernel which nowadays is a 10 minute process.. ;)

pentium 4 1.8 GHz 256 MB ddr

I guess you just need to move faster making your selections then... my P4's can recompile a kernel in less than 10 minutes.. that's including the reboot.. ;)

It's especially fast if you use an existing config and then just go in and make the changes you want, not needing to go thru every single menu..
