porting to a new machine
 

I have a Red Hat Linux 7.2 system running as an email server. I want to port the existing system with user ids and passwords into another system. Can someone tell me how to do this? I am particularly interested to know how to keep the passwords intact.

Copy the lines in /etc/shadow file to the new system to get the passwords. Other information about the users is in /etc/passwd and /etc/group.
