LPK is for OS-OS porting ...

hello purelithium....
... thanx for ur reply. yes !! the link will be useful. i can use a part of the porting kit for the project. but i think the link that u sent me concerns porting applications from one OS to another... (i.e. here it is Linux to HP-UX...).
.. since the porting kit is designed for RISC architecture, i can probably use the libraries and the transtion kit also.
...the linux kernel as such doesnt seem to have support for RISC architecture. so i was assuming i'll have to write a separate kernel myself. so if u could plz. answer my other queries also it would be useful for me.

Well i'm pretty new to linux, so i don't think I'll be of much help, I'm sorry, but I found this as well.

It's a couple projects to move to the HP RISC architecture.

You'd probably have better luck finding help if you made a new thread in the "Programming" forum. Unfortunately I don't compile my own programs so I don't have any advice beyond that.

Isn't Linux kernel supporting a bunch of RISC CPUs, like SPARC, MIPS, HP-PA and ARM, or am I missing something here ?
