Porting application for windows mouse-click and keyboard sends to linux

I am currently looking at porting an application which a co-worker wrote on windows. This application does mouse movements, mouse-clicks and keyboard entry's on a different window. Of, course it was written in VB using the standard windows stuff (RECT, conio.h, etc.). If someone has a LINUX version (or knows where one is), I will modify it to use the same interface as the windows version. Thanks!

Stev
