"poor mans install" or install with loop/changes/persistance
Hi
Hopefully someone here can assist me, I have spent so many hours trawling for answers I am more confused now than before!
I want to create my own custom version of linux, this I understand how to do my changing my choice distro and then remastering it
But I also want to include a way to the install this LiveCD to a hard disk as a live image still with a loop/changes/persistance file (seems to have different names in different places!)
I use and am part of the team testing eeepclinuxos (but I am more of a windows man so not too great with linux!) and on this distro they customized I believe the gtk-liveinstall script from pclinux so you could install it to hard disk and create a changes file
Does anyone know of an equivalent for mandriva?
I prefer to customize mandriva as I like it more than other distros, I had though of using pclinux as they did for the eeepc version, but this still only has kde 3.5 and I want a more updated version with kde 4.1+ etc
Willing to use another distro if someone has good advice for me
Thanks
