Podcasting with Linux

Hello,

I've been using Linux exclusively since July, and I love it, but rescently, I've discovered podcasting.. (I know, better late than never, right?) Anyway... I'm very interested in producing a podcast of my own. I plan on using audacity for the bulk of the recording, but I've also taken a peek at Ardour, but can't seem to get it working.

My main concern however lies with Hardware.... and I ask that anyone here that produces podcasts in Linux please tell me what thier hardware /studio setup consists of.... also, what distro you might be using, etc. I just want to be sure all the equipment works with Linux .

I'd really like to avid going back to windows for this one thing, I've managed without it for so long now it would be a shame.

I Myself am running SimplyMepis as my primary distro. and really like it.
