please help


i accidentally deleted a user's home dir, and i have to get it back

i tried to run a fat driver restore program but it is only showing windows files

is there any way to get my files back

If you did this very recently, you probably can get it back.
From my understanding, once you delete something in Linux, it allocates that particular space on the drive as "available" for future write processes. If you have been using the computer much than it's safe to say that the OS has probably written something over that space by now.

If you just did this, than the data is still there, it's simply no longer recognized as part of the file-system. It's a matter of re-introducing (if that makes sense) the data.
