playing vcd with xine

i am trying to play a vcd with xine, which i finaly got instaled thx to info found on this board. i think i need a plugin but cant seem to find ne

im using redhat 7.2 , xine0.9.9
i get the error that says " no demuxer plugin available to handle '/mnt/cdrom/mpegav/aveseq01.dat'

you're in luck! mplayer has just built its very first rpm! ditch xine and install mplayer... mplayerhq.hu download page right at teh very bottom.

I'm sure if you just do a quick search in Google you will probably find other mirrors from which you can download it. And yeah, mplayer is the bomb,

got mplayer installed with gui finally still cant play my harrypotter vcd. well my mpegs avi n the rest play fine

Yo, Int, seriously man. I could say that my computer doesn't work. And that I needed help...but like OK, what's wrong with my computer?, cuz there could be about 10000 reasons why my computer is not working. Just me more clear on what's going on when you try and run the vcd.

thx all for your help. mplayer & xine r working now took me few trys but got it working. goning to dual boot at least one of my pc for multimedia stuff though.
