You're going to find yourself in dependency hell with RH9 which is outdated and no longer supported. You'll probably find it less of a hassle and time saver by actually upgrading the whole OS to a more recent version, perhaps if you want to go the Red Hat route but can't pay for it, use CentOS which is a RHEL clone.
The only other way is to build your own RPM most likely with the newer version or build from source, which might lead to dependency issues like explained above.
