PHP file


hi,
there is a file on our web server . it is a linux server and the file is PHP file. we need that file run/execut every day on a given time.
please let me know any solution any solution?

cron jobs can most likely do that for you....

Hmm...Although I learned PHP from scratch just like I did with C++, I never thought of using PHP for non-web development-related projects.

How would I run a PHP script that's not in /var/www/html? /usr/bin/php /home/bleys/myscript.php?

AFAIK you would installed PHP so that it runs like you average CGI script would (effectively running the same way Perl does [assuming you are not using mod_perl!]), using a command line interpreter sorta setup. So yeah, you would call your script as you suggested, or with #!/usr/bin/php as the first line of your .php file, then chmod the file to atleast 700... Although I've never seen it actually done.
