phone tools software

Hello everyone: I did a quick search and came up empty handed, so I'll ask all of you for some help, My question is, Is there any Linux software available that will let me download or upload tp my motorola cell phone, I have the data cable but I'm not sure how I would "mount" or install the phone if I plugged it in. Is there something for Linux that anyone has tried that is the equivalent of "motorola phone tools" or any of the others available. Thanks in advance for any help. P.S. I'm running Mandrake 10.1 if it makes any difference. Thanks.

I use bitpim. It should work with your phone.
All I have to do is plug my phone in and run the app.
