Permanently Set a Export Setting (LD_LIBRARY_PATH)

[antlabadmin@localhost eggdrop]$ export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib
[antlabadmin@localhost eggdrop]$ ./eggdrop

How do i set this setting to be permanent? Not only during this current session?
