OK,

if that's test.cgi and its chmoded to 755, then it should run, or else something maybe configured wrong with apache.

the error log is gonna tell you why your getting the error... some permissions problem, or path problem etc.

should be in the apache folder, forget name

This is what's appearing in the log file each time I try to run the script from my web browser:

[Thu Mar 28 22:09:29 2002] [error] (2)No such file or directory: exec of /var/www/cgi-bin/test.cgi failed
[Thu Mar 28 22:09:29 2002] [error] [client 192.168.1.1] Premature end of script headers: /var/www/cgi-bin/test.cgi

I changed Apache to run on port 8000 a while back, would this have anything to do with why my scripts won't run from a browser?

I have a similar problem, downloaded and installed wwwboard perl script, put the files where it said , chmoded everything. When I call it from another PC on the LAN, I see the opening screen to put in a message as expected, I fill out the form and then when I hit "post message" It displays the wwwboard.cgi script rather than executing it (at least it knows where to find it). Anyone know why? I don't have the wwwboard.cgi (which was initially named wwwboard.pl) in a cgi-bin directory and maybe I should. It is currently in the /var/www/html/BBS directory. Thanks in advance.
